The best test of a B&B's mettle is how it performs in the absence of its owners. Ron and Evan's brief absence during our stay at WEGH showed this to be a B&B that never puts a false step forward. Particular kudos go to two staffers: Karolina & Layla. Karolina kept our room immaculate; she served breakfasts with a sunshine smile; she even taught us a new pronunciation for the word "crepe". She was great! Her efficiency and charm were only surpassed by her pulchritude. Layla, despite holding down three other jobs was always chipper and cheerful. Instead of going the extra mile for us she tried to do two with dinner reservations, recommendations, and suggestions for dining, shopping and sightseeing. She would make a great inn keeper. In a field already studded in diamonds, she shone like a crown jewel. Thanks to both! And to Ron & Evan.

Ron and Evan,
Thank you so much for all of your hospitality. Since our arrival you both have done nothing short of amazing to make us feel welcome. Your presence, along with Pat's, at our ceremony will always be fondly remembered. I did not think I would ever stop laughing as we all shared such funny stories. The food was devine, the company was fabulous and the home exquisite. Thank you again for everything. We hope to see you again soon.

Fabulus extremely well designed and decorated. Great taste on a small touch that makes it feel like a home relaxed and comfortable and in the same time the beautiful all time style interior allows (one) to experience the old times in the middle of the modern city. Classic and elegant breakfast ceremony, excellent cook! We will be back.

Dear Evan and Ron,
We just wanted to send a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our Olympic Stay! Our room was comfy and pretty with a great view, the gourmet breakfast with the blended coffee, secret juices and fresh fruit was out of this world! Also, the 'take-away' was great - had the whole bus envious of us! The candy bars, fresh cookies and drinks in the fridge brought out the kids in us late 50 year olds! The sherry brought out the 'big kids'! Ha!
The heartfelt gift and note is so special...sits on the coffee table in the family room.
AND the babies - so sweet and cute. We always love dogs around - we even got to see and sometimes pet a Dachshund every day when we were out and about. You're lucky we didn't try to take them home with us!
All in all, you deserve all the gold medals the athletes got! Definitely back for next Alaska Cruise if not before.
Love Laura and David
PS
You really made our Olympic experience the Best! We are always talking about our gourmet breakfast on the bus to Whistler. That was really special!
We are already thinking of some excuse for returning to Vancouver. I already told Laura it doesn't necessarily have to be for a cruise. We visited Oregon about 12 years ago and really enjoyed that trip. Maybe we could fly to Portland and do a drive up the coast through Washington state and end up at the West End Guest House!!!
You will always be on our minds for wanting to come back to Vancouver.
